The battle begins in the Marceddì lagoon. The fishermen of the Fisheries Consortium, over one hundred and fifty, led by president Antonio Loi, are ready to occupy the Marceddì bridge. They will raise their voices on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th July, from 7am to 10pm: the operators will set up on both the Costa Verde and Terralbese sides.

The fishermen decided to take this strong action because the agreements made with regional politics about a month ago, during a demonstration also in Marceddì, were not maintained. They had asked for channel 17 to be cleaned, but nothing was done. But also the opening of the bulkheads along the bridge, which do not guarantee sufficient oxygenation of the water from San Giovanni to the fishpond. And the risk now is to see the lagoon transformed into an expanse of dead fish.

The president of the Consortium Antonio Loi apologizes to the population for the inconvenience that will inevitably be created. Especially for those who have to reach the beaches of Torre dei Corsari, Pistis, Piscinas or Funtanazza.
