An Enel manager goes to trial for a disastrous fire that wiped out 350 hectares of cork oak trees, vineyards and olive groves, together with some farms, in the Berchidda area .
The fire occurred on September 17, 2022 and according to the Tempio Prosecutor's Office it was caused by the alleged lack of maintenance of a low voltage power line . The preliminary hearing judge Caterina Interlandi accepted the prosecutor's requests and ordered the indictment.
The events occurred in the town of Sa Segada. The prosecutor calls Enel into question and in particular the manager of the territorial unit of Sassari (a manager from Cagliari, defended by the lawyer Sebastiano Chironi).
