The Anpi: "Sardinia is the primary objective if the war in Ukraine continues"
The partisans association raises the alarm on the eve of April 25: "Sending of weapons has not stopped the conflict, military servitude could cause the island to be hit early"Per restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
The war in Ukraine must worry the Sardinians, twice as much as other Italians. Because «in the event of an expansion of the conflict and of more direct involvement of Italy, the first objectives to be struck are those in which the greatest military capacity of the enemy is concentrated. And who more than Sardinia, with its 60% of military servitude, can be a target to hit early?» .
The position is taken by the regional PNA and is expressed in a note issued on the eve of April 25 by regional president Antonello Murgia, critical of the shipment of arms to Ukraine which, "as expected, did not end the war quickly, but he aggravated the budget and prolonged it».
The document also speaks of "three major NATO bases" on the island: which in reality are not "NATO". And the "newly established base for the advanced training of fighter pilots from half the world" is also being accused.
For the PNA, these are all elements that could lead the Russians, or their eventual allies, to put Sardinia in Putin's sights.
The National Partisan Association is, of course, also against the exercises in progress ( HERE THE NEWS ) which for the military leaders would constitute "even" extraordinary opportunities "not only for laundry, catering and other services , but also for tourism » .
Marongiu wonders if it is "possible to focus on a peaceful economy or should we accept that RWM, instead of converting, offers to hire workers who are losing their jobs in Portovesme to produce weapons?".
The Anpi also looks at the economic situation of Sardinia: «Bankitalia informs us that in 2021 the Region invested only 83.3% of the European and national funds received in regional projects and operational programs, thus placing itself in fifth from last place among the Regions Italian". And there is still no information "on how the Region intends to invest the funds of the Pnrr".
The consequence is the reference to the "fundamental rights enshrined in our Constitution", which "are becoming less and less demandable, and among them the right to health is the most tormented".
Anpi Sardinia declares itself "close to citizens who need to have their rights recognised: unemployed workers, patients in need of treatment (urgent or not), students who see their right to study denied by the growing closure of schools".
Then there is the final appeal: «Let's free ourselves from war, from fascism, from inhumanity with the Constitution».
