Teulada, overwhelmed by a wave at Capo Malfatano: a thirty-nine-year-old fisherman dies

Tragedy this morning in Teulada, where Gabriel Manuel Montis, a 39-year-old fisherman from Settimo San Pietro, died.

At 9.30 he was fishing from the rocks at Capo Malfatano together with a friend, when a wave overwhelmed him and sucked him into the sea, dragging him out to sea.

Rescue attempts were in vain, with the friend who raised the alarm first : the first intervention was with a dinghy from a rental company, which found him on the rocks. On site were the Coast Guard and a medical team from 118, who could do nothing but confirm the death.
