Thefts, defaced walls, abandoned waste of all kinds and much more. In Terralba vandals are often in action.

That's why the Municipality has decided to take the field with the hope of stopping them.

As? Placing another 4 video surveillance devices that will be connected to the local police offices within ten days. Total investment: 50 thousand euros, funds from the municipal budget.

«It is useless to mince words, the cameras that are there are not enough - explains the councilor for Public Works Andrea Grussu - Despite the efforts of the police forces, pleasant episodes often occur. That's why we decided to install other cameras in sensitive areas».

One will be positioned in the industrial area: «The same owners of the commercial activities present in that area asked for more surveillance and security during various meetings - explains Grussu - In the last year there have been various thefts, including a car then luckily found."

Another camera will instead be positioned on the Marceddì seafront: "Here we want to stop and therefore identify those who abandon waste - continues the commissioner - it is not a nice postcard for those who reach this prestigious place".

The second instead will be positioned at the crossroads between via Porcella and piazza Libertà: "Here instead there are various buildings of the Municipality completely smeared - the municipal councilor Grussu still denounces - The hope is to counteract these bad habits".

The last one will instead be installed in piazza 4 novembre.
