Tension and ongoing protests at Olbia's Costa Smeralda Airport have erupted following the ProPal demonstration on August 31st, which protested the arrival of Israeli tourists from Tel Aviv, chanting "Killers not welcome."

"Five people, including a child, were identified and threatened this morning because they were walking around the airport," denounced the anti-militarist committee A Foras, whose members had already been responsible, in Chia, for a symbolic act against Israeli tourists who share the line of Natanyahu's government ( NEWS HERE ).

"Following the demonstration on Sunday, August 31, where we managed to hold Zionist tourists hostage for several hours inside their buses," a statement reads, "the Italian police and the Guardia di Finanza have decided to deploy this morning with vans and riot gear to protect yet another arrival from Tel Aviv, with the aim of ensuring Zionist tourists have a peaceful holiday."

Some Sardinian citizens "who went to the airport to see who and what was arriving on their land from a genocidal state, without displaying any symbols or flags," A Foras continues, "were arbitrarily identified by the Digos (Italian National Security Agency) and riot police while walking outside the terminal—a common occurrence, given that, let's remember, Olbia airport is also the only study center in Olbia, in addition to the city library, as well as a fully-fledged shopping center—and threatened with criminal charges for unorganized demonstrations. A demonstration that, up until that point, had never taken place."

Despite "the intimidating attitude of the police, deployed to defend the Zionist tourists from any protest, those present still waved the Palestinian flag in the faces of their accomplices and war criminals , reminding them that they will never be welcome on Sardinian soil. There will be no peace for those who live off war."
