«A participatory meeting against disinformation on the PUMS». This is how the municipal councilor for Infrastructure and Mobility of the Municipality of Sassari Carlo Sardara, today in a press conference at Palazzo Ducale, defines the discussion on 27 October, from 3pm in Sala Langui, on the Urban Plan for Sustainable Mobility.

A mandatory tool for the city, already adopted in other municipalities, which will revolutionize the traffic of the Turritan capital. And on the contents of which the administration - report both the councilor, the sector manager Fabio Spurio and the sole manager of the project Paolo Enrichelli - has tried to interface with the inhabitants through questionnaires and the involvement of citizens.

Now, after the preliminary approval by the city council in August 2023 of the PUMS, drawn up by the Sintagma company and published on the Municipality's website, and the 60 days given to present the observations, the city governance is seeking a further appointment with the people of Sassari through three focuses group on Intermodality, Infrastructure, Local Public Transport; Pedestrian areas, Soft Mobility and Zone 30, Sharing Mobility; Road safety, traffic nodes, parking and mobility hinges.

Not only stakeholders but also anyone interested are invited to participate. The topic of the Plan has become the subject of widespread debate in recent months, with opinions and tones that the municipal administration did not like.

«In my opinion there is speculation», attacks Sardara, «there are some subjects who are using this approval to create confusion». According to the councilor, no specific request had been proposed. «And for this reason we want to hold the meeting as a guarantee for citizens so as to give correct information and not instead of generic disinformation which does not take into account the scientific development behind the PUMS».
