Stefano Fresi will become an honorary citizen of Luogosanto . The award will be conferred on September 5th at 5:00 PM, during a special meeting of the City Council convened with a single agenda item. For the Roman actor, composer, and musician, this is official recognition of an unbroken family and emotional bond with the Gallura town. Fresi's father was originally from Luogosanto, where his grandparents also lived. The actor spent long periods of his childhood there, especially in the family farmhouse, maintaining a constant connection with the town and the Gallura region over the years.

"I've always felt Gallura was my home, Luogosanto my home," Fresi says. "In these lands, I was imbued with what for me is the sense of family, the sense of belonging to a land, the deepest meaning of the word community." And regarding the recognition, he adds: "The idea of being called to 'officially' join the citizens of Luogosanto is a source of infinite pride and joy for me. And how proud the Minnanni, Bacchisi, and Pitrina would be ."

For Mayor Agostino Pirredda , honorary citizenship confirms a sense of belonging already felt by the community. "Stefano never misses an opportunity to talk about the town and Gallura, to remember his origins, even through jokes in dialect. He's from Luogosante, and this citizenship simply acknowledges something our community already feels."

After the council meeting, the day will continue in Piazza Incoronazione with "Luogosanto in Festa – Traditions, Identity, and Entertainment in the Heart of Gallura," an event promoted by the Municipality with the Pro Loco and dedicated to Sardinian folk culture. Fresi will be the guest of honor . The initiative is part of the 798th Festa Manna di Gaddura and the buildup to the opening of the Holy Door of the Sanctuary of Nostra Signora di Luogosanto, scheduled for two days later and celebrated every seven years.
