Tourists were bewitched in St. Mark's Square in Venice on Monday by the two Neoneli masks: “Sos Corriolos” and “Sa Maschera 'e Cuaddu”.

"They tell me that in Venice our masks have been a hit. A great satisfaction for Neoneli and for Sardinia - says the mayor Salvatore Cau -. Making our traditions known helps to preserve them and to promote our territories". "For us it was an honor to represent Sardinia in one of the most important carnivals in Italy, but also in the world", underlines Alessandro Cossu, president of the association Sos Corriolos.

And he continues: «It was very exciting when we performed on stage and, with the dull and loud noise of the bones and pitchforks, all of Piazza San Marco turned to look at us. They were ecstatic for us and, once we got off the stage, we stayed for hours and hours taking pictures with the tourists who were very happy».

The president of the association “Sa Maschera 'e Cuaddu” Nice Cambuli states: «We have to thank the Pro loco of Neoneli, the Unpli Sardegna and the national Unpli for this special invitation. For us it was a very important showcase. The event was very beautiful, we were welcomed by a huge audience that appreciated the presence of the two groups of Neoneli and who were honored to have participated in representing our country and all of Sardinia».
