The leg surgery for the severe crush injury sustained in the Gorropeddu cave was successful. Luca Olmetto , 31, the young speleologist from Codrongianus, extracted after 27 hours in the Supramonte of Urzulei, is in intensive care at the San Francesco Hospital in Nuoro.
He is alert and conscious. He is continuing his appropriate treatment. The prognosis remains guarded.
