Snow falls on Gennargentu, Limbara, and Montiferru: Sardinia in deep freeze
Temperatures plummet and heavy rainfall is expected across the main mountains, including the Oristano area: snow flurries are likely to fall as far as the hills in the next few hours.It's snowing in Sardinia. From Gennargentu to Limbara, flakes are falling heavily. But the white blanket has also covered the Montiferru mountains in the Oristano area and Mount Linas.

Snow from Fonni (including in the village) to Vallicciola, in Gallura, at 1050 meters, passing through Barbagia and Montiferru.
Precipitation is expected to spread further in the next few hours, reaching hillside altitudes.
A predicted drop in temperatures, which also led to the issuing of a weather alert by the Civil Protection: unstable conditions will persist until Saturday morning.
The lowest temperature recorded last night by the ARPAS monitoring network came from Gavoi: -3.3 degrees.
According to the forecast, tomorrow will be "cloudy with precipitation, including showers or thunderstorms, with generally light cumulative precipitation. Precipitation will be snow from 600 meters upwards until the morning. The weather will ease in the afternoon."
