Twenty men mobilized for a new rescue, this time at night, in Piscina Irgas , in the Villacidro area.

A hiker from Monserrato slipped while walking along the path with two other people and hit her back, causing an injury that prevented her from continuing the excursion independently.

Yesterday afternoon at 5pm her companions alerted the emergency services, the 118 operations center immediately activated the helicopter based in Cagliari, which however, due to the strong wind, was unable to reach and recover the woman .

The technicians of the National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps from the Cagliari, Iglesias and Medio Campidano stations were therefore mobilized to support the air rescue. About twenty men on site : thanks to a drone with a thermal camera, they managed to reach the unfortunate woman and with the sedan chair technique they took her to the point where the ambulance was waiting for her and took her to hospital.

The difficult terrain made the movement of the woman complex , whose transport lasted a very long time. The rescue operations ended when it was almost 1 am.
