The snowfall ended a while ago, but with icy roads and power outages, the situation is far from returning to normal . At least in some areas, primarily Seulo, where the most critical situation remains today.
This morning , another power line collapse occurred. In the Barbagia municipality, Enel had responded by activating generators to deal with the blackout, which lasted until late at night. But today, when everything seemed to be back to normal, the lights went out again .
The inconvenience is significant for residents, who are also dealing with roads that are still snow-covered and slippery. "We will send additional vehicles and teams to spread salt to prevent the roads from freezing, which would make operations even more difficult," explains Rosanna Laconi , regional councilor for the Environment and Civil Protection.
Support is also needed for the municipalities of Seui, Fonni, Esterzili, Sadali, Aritzo, Sorgono, Tempio, and Santu Lussurgiu : the Region is coordinating activities through the Civil Protection Department, in close collaboration with Anas, E-distribuzione, and the Provinces.
In short, just a few centimeters of snow are enough to cause enormous inconvenience to residents. But this won't happen again, the councilor emphasizes , because on Tuesday the Region will sign memoranda of understanding with the Prefectures and ANCI (National Association of Municipalities) to activate the Territorial Civil Protection Areas: "These will serve precisely to provide a more rapid, effective, and consistent response across the entire affected territory in situations like this," she explains.
