The train that will be remembered of last Saturday's wedding in Nostra Signora delle Grazie will not be that of the bride, but the one on social media with the controversy between the photographer and the priest, Don Franco Puddu, publicly accused on Facebook of having almost ruined the feast of the newlyweds, who have returned from Aosta to their hometown to celebrate their wedding. To set fire to the powders was Alessio Todde, in charge of immortalizing all the phases of the ceremony.

The controversy

«It was immediately understood that the priest was particularly nervous without any valid reason even before the mass», we read in the post published by Todde on Facebook, «The attitude of the priest towards the photographer and videomaker is unbelievable! Treated like merchants in the temple, with no respect: with glare of contempt and annoyance. I remember that we are ceremonialists with decades of experience with a lot of study and VAT, not improvised at the last minute. We know by heart the moments in which to intervene during the wedding celebrations and we maintain a respectful and professional attitude ».

The head of the photo shoot complained that, during the shooting, he and the assistants were "literally screamed at by the priest who absolutely wanted a distance of two meters from the bride and groom, in profile, without a slightly frontal shooting rag, as always happens in all parishes: including Bonaria and the Cathedral. One foot on the step was enough to provoke rash reactions. The mass was officiated in an icy climate, completely detached from the assembly: practically the handling of a bureaucratic practice, executed in full "Savonarola" style ». The professional also underlined that Don Puddu would also have had to say with the violinist and the florist.

The replica

"I believe that the photographer, in his self-referential testimony", retorts Don Franco Puddu, who claims to have immediately clarified the differences with both the violinist and the florist, "wanted to give a completely personal coloring, perhaps piqued by the treatment according to him received, without noticing even the courtesy and patience expressed throughout the celebration, even though we started late, (having then to do other celebrations after the wedding) ».

A question and answer, the one between the priest and the photographer that continued on social media. «Since there was no operational inspection», the parish priest continues, «we agreed only at the last moment, at the entrance while we were waiting for the bride to arrive, that our church only allowed long and medium distance shots. The continuous execution throughout the rite in the foreground would have exposed the operator to be continuously present in the scene of the liturgical celebration. And this disturbs ».

The groom also intervened on the issue, again via Facebook. «I'm not here to argue», he underlines, «what disconcerted, at a certain point during the celebration, was that there were screams from Don Franco towards the photographer. Leaving aside this small inconvenience, the main thing was done: marry my wife ».
