He fell ill while driving his car and died despite being rescued.
A 73-year-old from Monserrato lost his life this morning around 6 while he was in his Opel Corsa, together with a son, in the section of the former state highway 131 at the junction for Sestu.
The rescue was immediate but for the man there was nothing to do. The 118 staff could only ascertain the death.
On the spot also the agents of the traffic police. Fortunately, at the time of the illness the car was not traveling at high speed: the Opel crashed into a traffic divider barrier, with minor damage, and the other person on board had no consequences.
