Fatal accident just outside the town of Serrenti, towards Samassi, on provincial road 56.

The victim was Diego Murru, a 40-year-old farmer from Samassi, who lost control of his Fiat Grande Punto around 7:00 a.m. for reasons currently being investigated, veered off the road, crashed into vegetation, and ended up in a canal.

The impact was fatal: the 118 medical personnel intervened on the scene, but unfortunately the doctors could do nothing but certify the death.

The technical surveys were carried out by the Carabinieri of the Samatzai Station, supported in the operations and traffic management by colleagues from the Sanluri Station.

The emergency response team from the Sanluri Fire Brigade also arrived on site, using a crane dispatched from the Cagliari Fire Brigade operations center to secure the vehicle and the road.
