In Senorbì there is a new centenarian: she is Teresa Cadeddu, even if many in the village call her Agnese.

The little old lady, born in Laconi on May 28, 1925, has reached the milestone of a century of life and in the center of Trexenta - where she moved with her family in 1961 - there was a big party organized by her family. Special guests were the representatives of the municipal administration : the mayor Alessandro Pireddu and the councilor for Social Services Sara Mascia brought her the best wishes of the entire community.

Very religious and devoted to Saint Ignatius of Laconi ("He was a humble and poor religious man, we were very poor too", says the old lady, with a hint of emotion), she followed with great attention the mass celebrated by the parish priest Don Giancarlo Dessì. "He remembers every single word of the religious function almost better than me", joked the priest, highlighting the great lucidity of the old lady.

Since her eyesight got worse, she prefers the radio to television. "The radio at home is always on, tuned to Radio Maria," says her son Ignazio Gessa, "especially on Sunday mornings when they broadcast the mass live." She also recites two rosaries every day. She has been a widow since 2000; her husband Giuseppe Gessa worked at Ente Flumendosa. She has five children: Gerardo, Bruno, Ignazio, Maria Rosaria and Gianfranco. She is lovingly cared for by her family, along with two devoted collaborators.
