The Carabinieri are on a fierce hunt for the four criminals who attempted to break into the tobacconist's on Via San Martino in Selargius the other night.

The four, arriving in a van with a false license plate, tried to break into the entrance to the premises but were then forced to flee by the alarm system and the intervention of the security guards.

The Carabinieri investigation began immediately after the criminals' escape, setting up roadblocks and conducting several searches. The investigation is being coordinated by Lieutenant Vittorio Piras.

Some people were reportedly questioned at the police station , but no further information has emerged.
