The protagonist is a public employee from Sassari, Ilaria Onorato, who in just a few months won the two awards in her first participations in pastry chef competitions .
First at a regional level, then challenging competitors arriving from all over Italy. She introduced herself to Silanos almost by chance. After winning the gold medal, the regional delegate of the Italian Federation of Pastry Chefs, Ice Cream Makers, Chocolatiers Manolo Albano convinced her to present herself at Carrarafiere, where she received the prestigious recognition. Around 100 desserts presented, many created by professional pastry chefs. Ilaria Onorato started as a child with the Dolce Forno with which she prepared biscuits. « With the lockdown I experimented and discovered sourdough. It was a shock ," he explains. It will only remain a passion. «Of course, my job is different and will remain so», he adds. In his house, sweets don't last long. «But why do I give them away immediately to relatives, friends, colleagues». Particularly lucky.
