Act of vandalism at the Platamona roundabout, in the Sassari area. Crooks throw stones at the windows that cover the bus stop shelters. Only three years ago the ATP image redesign project, strongly desired by the new corporate governance, which involved the installation of latest generation structures in the central and key points of the city, with the redevelopment of the old shelters and new placement in areas up to then unprotected in the bus waiting areas.
Those structures were short-lived. The uncivilized people saw fit to damage them, breaking the glass that protects the bus waiting benches from the atmospheric agents. Platamona, near the Rotonda, was also one of those places included in the new redevelopment plan which included two new transparent glass shelters, less impactful from a landscape point of view and useful shelter from the sun or bad weather for users.
«It took two years to be able to install these shelters in the Platamona roundabout, two glass shelters in compliance with what was required of us by the protection of the landscape», commented the ATP president, Paolo Depperu. «Some, cowardly, saw fit to demolish what was built with so much sacrifice. Our city needs everyone's collaboration to improve and grow, everyone must lend a hand, but this is not the hand we need."
