Over 1300 people present, last night at the Teatro Comunale in Sassari, at the first public presentation of the new political force Sardinia in the center of 2020. The slogan is contained in the question "What do you want for your island?" to which, in a series of introductory clips, people of all categories and ages respond. "Because - says Antonello Peru, co-founder with Stefano Tunis - we must all ask ourselves what are the ways to become protagonists on this island".

The record holder of preferences in recent regional elections specifies that the movement "wants to put individuals and territories back at the centre". He then clarifies that the birth of Sardinia in the center is not due to the upcoming electoral deadlines: «That is a test bench. We want to give the territories this container in great autonomy, which has concreteness and simplicity as its principle». And if the themes refer to the well-known shortcomings of the island, in particular on infrastructures, from agro-food to sustainable mobility, the declared novelty is that of promoting «a participatory policy, which must go beyond leadership. We are without masters." «Enough of accordicchi - continues Peru - even those of the Roman tables. Yes to the union».

Then the appeal to other forces that share the centrist profile for potential future alliances. «We too want to write a little piece of Sardinian history». And on the judicial proceedings of the governor Solinas does not comment: "Each of us will be judged in the electoral competitions".

Stefano Tunis, who spoke after Peru, referring to the full house in the theatre: «They won't be able to say that they didn't see us arrive. All this represents an enormous interest on the part of the many that traditional politics is not capable of involving».
