Sassari, maxi blitz by the police for the eviction of the nomad camp of Piandanna: 10 arrests

An impressive raid by the police in the Muslim nomad camp of Piandanna was staged at the first light of dawn. The operations were carried out by the Municipal Police of Sassari with the support of the Carabinieri, the Financial Police and the State Police.

Ten nomads are arrested for environmental disaster and illegal landfill. One had escaped and was found under a trailer.

The camp was cleared of the occupants, put under preventive seizure, and the minors were entrusted to special facilities.
