Giovanni Maninchedda remains in prison, accused of the attempted murder of Luca Silanos, who was shot in Predda Niedda, Sassari, on January 19.

The Court of Review, presided over by Massimo Zaniboni, with Paolo Bulla and Sara Pelicci on his flanks, yesterday examined the request submitted by the defendant's lawyers, Maria Assunta Argiolas and Luigi Esposito.

Today the judges' decision arrived, rejecting the request and leaving the man in Bancali's custody.

On January 19th, at Maninchedda's used car dealership on Highway 23, the 43-year-old was struck by a bullet in the femur. The suspect disappeared for nearly two weeks, finally turning himself in at the Carabinieri station, where he gave instructions on how to recover the gun.

The Carabinieri, coordinated by prosecutor Paolo Piras, are investigating the motives that led to Silanos's visit to the salon and the subsequent explosion.
