Fire around 6pm in an apartment in Piazza Sacro Cuore in Sassari . According to an initial reconstruction , the mattress of a house on the top floor would have caught fire , together with other clothes, perhaps due to a cigarette left burning .

Some flames broke out, the heat of which destroyed the nearby television and blackened the walls. Fortunately, the woman who lives in the apartment immediately managed to escape and was helped by the neighbors and then by the 118 ambulance. The 50-year-old was taken to the Santissima Annunziata emergency room as a precaution but her condition did not cause concern.

The firefighters, who immediately put out the fire, as well as the carabinieri and local police officers intervened on site.
