Sassari, end of the inconvenience: Viale Umberto reopens to traffic

After the inconveniences of the last period, Viale Umberto finally opens to traffic. The renovation works of the Monte Oro water pipeline up to the reservoir in via Milano, in the municipality of Sassari, were completed ahead of the scheduled time schedule and, starting tomorrow, citizens will finally be able to resume transiting on the road interrupted by the construction site.
Mayor Nanni Campus has revoked the ordinance issued on 27 July and ordered the reopening to traffic of the central ascending and descending lane of viale Umberto I, from viale Trieste to viale Trento, and the reopening of the parking area of the same stretch of road, with the exception of the areas authorized for occupation of the Abbanoa construction site. The company has started interventions to improve the water supply service which affects via Sorso, via Cagliari, via Brigata Sassari, via Torres Tonda, via Politeama and via Umberto.
The works will resume at the end of the month, starting with via Politeama and via Cagliari.
