An acquittal and a conviction for drug possession and dealing today in court in Sassari. Judge Paolo Bulla pronounced the sentence this afternoon for an incident that occurred in the historic center at the end of October 2022.

Two Nigerians were found in possession of 152 grams of heroin and 44 of cocaine in two apartments in Sassari Vecchia, together with scales, cutting substances and cellophane to wrap the doses. Houses to which the police had arrived after the arrest of a person who attempted to swallow the drug once discovered.

Within the walls of the homes, heroin and cocaine had been found in shoes, drawers and other corners. And for the two defendants, a 24-year-old and a 27-year-old, both Nigerians, prosecutor Ilaria Achenza had asked for 3 years and 2 months in addition to the payment of 15 thousand euros in fines.

The final decision saw the youngest, defended by the lawyer Giuseppe Onorato, sentenced to two months and twenty days, while the second, assisted by the lawyer Elisabetta Udassi, was acquitted because the fact does not exist.
