Sentenced for defamation, she will have to compensate the Sassari doctor Antonio Pintus and will also have to pay his legal fees.
The accused, following a complaint, was a no vax who had intervened against the infectious disease specialist during the Covid pandemic. Her criticisms were not simple, expressed in the context of formal restraint. But insults: "Poor guy," she commented on social media, "since Covid has been around he has specified his qualification in his name. The moment had finally come when he would feel important and fascinating. Some woman would have agreed to have sex with him," she continued, before using swear words and claiming that "women continue to avoid him."
The complaint had arrived in Court. And now the first sentence has been issued: conviction.
"In the end, those who insult and offend in a totally gratuitous, vulgar and violent way do not get away with it," explains Pintus. The lady in question "who had harshly attacked me, on a professional and personal level, just because I was doing my duty as a doctor during the Sars-Cov2 pandemic, was sentenced to compensate me monetarily, plus she will also have to pay the legal fees: the anti-vaxers are not able to argue anything other than offending and threatening, they are this stuff here."
