Sassari-Alghero, the tender for the assignment of the works by July

The tender for the assignment of the works for the completion of the four-lane Sassari-Alghero is expected by July.

«With the agreement signed today with Anas for the Sassari-Alghero line, we are moving towards the completion of a long-awaited work, fundamental for northern Sardinia and strategic for connections throughout the territory», declares the president of the Region, Christian Solinas, as extraordinary commissioner appointed by the government for road works.

The governor today signed the agreement with Anas for the construction of the first lot (from Alghero to Olmedo) on the state road 291 "Della Nurra", for the completion of the Alghero-Sassari connection, and of lot 4 between the Olmedo junction and Fertilia, for the construction of the link road for the airport.

«On the road front and on other important issues for the island - underlines Solinas - we have strengthened the dialogue with the Government. Sardinia needs to renew and strengthen its road network, from the small arteries in the area, up to the large fundamental connections towards the main urban centers and the port and airport stations of the island. An ambitious and indispensable project that represents a precise objective: that of bridging an infrastructural gap that constitutes a brake on the development of the whole island. In this framework, the Sassari-Alghero constitutes an important piece, a work that has been awaited for decades and which will finally be able to be completed».
