The first edition of Barber Battle Sardinia ended in Tempio with a positive balance (for the attendance and the number of competitors). The best Sardinian barbers participated in the competition and it was two intense days of challenges with scissors and razors.
The candidates were evaluated by a team of highly regarded judges, coordinated by the event organizer, Gianbattista Aisoni, an established barber from Tempio, and by Hiro Vitanza, a well-known barber, coach and entrepreneur, considered the driving force of Italian barbering. The performances were evaluated by: Francesca Pili, Marco Brungiu, Gerry Crobu, Roberto Cherveddu, Vanessa Brau, Giuseppe Pinniti (representatives of Sardinia), together with Marco Baicin (Liguria), Armando Migando (Calabria), Marianna Stellato (Campania), Domenico Fedeli (Abruzzo), Giorgio Iacob (Trentino) and Daniele Boccanera (Lazio).
Here are the winners of the first edition of Barber Battle Sardinia: Simone Vigliani for the Fast Fade category and Alessandro Fiori for Beard Modeling, while Cristian Cretu from Olbia won both the Innovative Cut and Hair Tattoo awards. The event made dialogue and discussion possible between professionals, producers and distributors. The organizers explain “The Barber Battle Sardinia, sponsored by the Municipality of Tempio Pausania, represented a fundamental moment for the world of Sardinian barbering. A sector that is rapidly evolving, moving away from the stereotype of the small village shop to establish itself as a trendy phenomenon, in line with the growing desire of men to take ever more careful care of their image”. The organizers Gianbattista Aisoni and Hiro Vitanza have already announced an encore, the second edition is scheduled for next year.
