Damage can be counted in Sardinian municipalities affected by the latest devastating fires that have destroyed several hectares of land, even threatening homes and farms .
During the forest night , teams of Forestas and firefighters have taken steps to extinguish the last active outbreaks, also with the aid of air vehicles , which took off again in the early hours of the morning.
Overall, between Thursday and Friday, over one hundred fronts engaged the fire fighting teams , 24 in the provinces of Cagliari and South Sardinia alone.
The most affected areas are those of Mandas, Siamanna, Villamassargia and Portoscuso .
"We will soon make the first estimate of the damage to companies, homes and other properties", explained on Facebook the mayor of Mandas Umberto Oppus, explaining that on the fronts of the fire that hit the Municipality, the reclamation operations have been started.
