An accident occurred in Sardara, at the Via San Gavino roundabout: according to initial reconstructions, two cars were involved in the side-on collision. Three people were injured.
The most serious accident, a 67-year-old pensioner from Sardara who was aboard a Mercedes A-Class, was transported in critical condition to Brotzu Hospital by air ambulance.
A 64-year-old man from Gonnoscodina, who was traveling in a Volkswagen Polo, was taken to the emergency room in San Gavino with a yellow code, while the woman who was with him in the car, a 64-year-old woman from Assemini, also ended up with a yellow code at Santissima Trinità.
Emergency personnel, firefighters, carabinieri, and local police intervened on site.
Law enforcement is working to reconstruct the accident.
