The citizens of Sant'Elia spent Christmas in the midst of foul-smelling sewage, real open-air sewers.

In via Schiavazzi, the municipal councilors of the Psd'Az Marcello Polastri and Loredana Lai denounce, there has been a lake of "dirty and highly bacterial" water for weeks, which "does not help the image of the city and above all public health" .

"I wonder if before New Year's Eve the miracle of street cleaning will come true for them", say the two councilors, who after an "indecent and ridiculous blame game" by the relevant institutions sent a complaint accompanied by numerous images to the Department of Hygiene and Public Health .

«I turned to metropolitan water management which, strangely, claims it has no skills - says Polastri - while AREA and the Municipality of Cagliari are also aware of this problem. Since it is now repeated every year, the time has come for everyone to do their part and respond responsibly to any interested silences ».

For the umpteenth time, Polastri explained, there was "a telephone blame game between those who have to intervene to stop the escape of sewage which continues to invade the road due to the narrow, ancient, partly collapsed and therefore to be redone ducts " . For this reason, the two councilors have also filed a motion for the attention of the mayor "so that he can be the spokesperson for the problem with Abbanoa and AREA in order to start the redevelopment of the pipelines".
