Sant'Antioco, a new landing: 15 migrants intercepted off the island of Toro

After the 7 migrants rescued a few weeks ago from a merchant vessel in transit to Spain, and on the same day the traces of six others traveling to the coasts of Sardinia were lost, late yesterday evening 15 migrants aboard a small wooden boat been intercepted by the Naval operations section of the Guardia di Finanza of Sant'Antioco .
The group was off the island of Toro and was preparing to reach the Sulcis coast. All were accompanied to the commercial port of Sant'Antioco where, in addition to the ground staff of the Guardia di Finanza, there was also a 118 ambulance from Sulcis Emergenze waiting for them for 2 migrants who had some problems during their journey.
Also present were the agents of the Carbonia police station who escorted the contracted bus to the reception center in Monastir.
