No Tari for five years. And Imu reduced by 50% for the same period. Measures that apply to new commercial and artisanal activities but also to those already existing. These are the tools chosen by the Municipality of Sanluri to revitalize its historic center.
The town of Medio Campidano "is transformed into a laboratory of urban rebirth, decisively focusing on the enhancement of its historic center," reads a note from the Municipality. With a resolution approved in recent days, "the administration sends a clear message: the future of communities passes through the return to life in the city centers."
Mayor Alberto Urpi explains that "there is a lot of talk about reviving historic centers, but we need facts more than words. This is our concrete response: tangible help for those who decide to invest in Sanluri that looks to the future, keeping alive the tradition and beauty of our ancient center".
Sanluri would like to become "a model for the whole of Sardinia. The goal is to stop depopulation, support local businesses and restore our historic center to its role as the beating heart of city life . It is an initiative that, as a regional councilor, I hope can be replicated at a regional level. Let's imagine what it could mean for the whole of Sardinia: more lively communities, reborn historic centers and a stronger and more widespread economy."
