Over the last month, the Customs Agency and the Finance Police have seized 35 kilos of finds, including sand, pebbles and shells , from tourists who wanted to take home a souvenir of Sardinia.

Vacationers who have received penalties ranging from a minimum of 500 euros to a maximum of 3,000 euros . Despite the information and awareness campaign, the cases of sand theft do not seem to decrease .

Indeed, they are increasingly imaginative: a few days ago a tourist hid the sand inside a bottle of sunscreen .
