Accident occurred around 8:30 PM in the central Via Porto Botte in San Giovanni Suergiu.

For reasons yet to be ascertained , a man driving a Ford Fiesta lost control of the small car, first hitting two cars that were parked at the side of the road before ending up in the middle of the road with his wheels in the air .

Passers-by immediately called the emergency number, and a few minutes later, the 118 personnel from Sulcis Emergenze and the Sirai ambulance arrived on the scene.

Fortunately, the driver only suffered a few bruises. The Carbonia firefighters were also on site to secure the car, which had been left in the middle of the road for over an hour.

Officers from the Carbonia Carabinieri station's mobile radio unit were also present, carrying out surveys and determining the causes of the accident.

During the rescue operations and until the vehicle was recovered, the road, which in that stretch is also part of state road 195, remained closed with traffic diverted onto parallel roads.
