"In the midst of this devastation that took away my home, my belongings, and my life's work, I discovered an inner strength I didn't know I had and the power of love and solidarity that unites the Turritan community."

Nurra farmer Pierluigi Molino, Forza Italia's city coordinator, still reeling from the fire that destroyed his rural villa and part of his agritourism business on Friday evening, on provincial road 34 connecting Porto Torres to Stintino. He expressed his gratitude for the widespread mobilization and solidarity that transcended the city of Porto Torres, involving unions and agricultural associations.

Sardinian director Fabio Manuel Mulas himself promoted the fundraiser launched by Federica Porqueddu to enable the farmer, his wife, and two daughters to purchase basic necessities and begin restoration work on the farmhouse and part of the business, allowing him to return to a normal personal and working life. The flames, which broke out around 9:00 PM, likely caused by a short circuit from the computer station, devoured everything, furniture, and clothing, leaving a pile of rubble in the house.

While awaiting the report authorizing the entrepreneur to rebuild his home, friends, neighbors, and acquaintances have come together to support his cause. "These big hearts of people have the power to revive friends, people who lend you support in the face of this tragedy that has struck us," Molino adds. "For me, it's been the most beautiful outpouring of love I could have ever seen, deeply gratifying, the stream of people who have come to visit me in recent days to offer support: so I've experienced firsthand the worst moment of my life, but it's also made me realize that you're not alone and that the people of Porto Torres are capable of great things."

The platform has already reached its first goal, allowing further funds to be raised. "Fortunately," says organizer Federica Porqueddu, "all family members are well, but they have lost their home, their lifelong memories, and their essentials, as well as their ability to restart their work. We have decided to launch a fundraiser," she explains, "to offer concrete assistance, allowing the family to cover the most urgent expenses of finding alternative housing, restoring the business, and resuming their work."
