A green oasis for enhancing agricultural biodiversity and protecting the area's rural heritage. The Municipality of Curcuris has officially approved the final status and certificate of proper execution for the first phase of construction of a historic orchard .
Officially opened on June 9, 2026, and completed in record time on July 16, the work was completed without a hitch. The contractor has completed the operations.
With this first lot, C urcuris provides itself with a space intended to preserve traditional tree varieties , combining scientific research, education and environmental promotion in a single large public work at the service of the community and future generations.
The project, coordinated by Technical Officer Rossella Ardu through the technical area resolution of July 27, 2026, published on the amministrazionetrasparente.unionesarda.it portal, is rooted in a strong institutional synergy initiated in recent months by the municipal administration.
The overall project took shape thanks to participation in the multi-year call for proposals by the Fondazione di Sardegna and benefits from important scientific and operational collaborations stipulated with leading Sardinian bodies such as the Agris Sardegna agency and the Department of Agriculture of the University of Sassari .
The design and construction management were entrusted to agronomist Sandro Marchi, while the physical execution of the first phase was handled by the social cooperative Futura Onlus.
