The carabinieri of the Company of Dolianova and of the Monastir station are investigating a vandalic raid inside the new nursery in Ussana, built at a cost of 300 thousand euros and still not inaugurated. The crooks entered the building, ransacking the building and damaging everything that could be damaged: doors, windows, shattered glass, bathrooms and even ceilings and floors. The electrical panel was also targeted.

Not even the air conditioners were spared. The damage would amount to 50 thousand euros that the Municipality will now have to find to fix the structure that was thought to be inaugurated in conjunction with the start of the next school year. A massacre that aroused general indignation in a country like Ussana used to living in tranquility.

“We have done the accounts - says mayor Emidio Contini bitterly - the damages amount to at least 50 thousand euros. We are already moving to be able to find them. Our goal remains to open the kindergarten to coincide with the start of the new school year. There is no explanation for what happened. An act of vandalism to the detriment of the whole country. An act that the municipal administration condemns with the population: I remember - the mayor closes - that the nursery was built with funds from the Region and the Municipality: public money, in short ”.
