Taloro Gavoi pays for the behavior of its fans on the occasion of last Sunday's match against Tharros, which finished 3-3.

In the final moments of the match, according to the referee report and the testimony of assistant number 2, there were episodes of racism by two supporters of the Gavoese team, addressing a Tharros player, with discriminatory sentences on the grounds of race . For this, the club was held directly responsible and received the penalty of the obligation to play a match behind closed doors.

The suspension is conditional, so it remains suspended for a year (and Taloro will be able to have fans at the stadium on Sunday against Ferrini) in which the club will undergo a trial period. In the event that there should be other excesses by one's supporters, the conditional sentence will be canceled and the disqualification will be added to any further sanction. On the other hand, the 200 euro fine again for Taloro, for insulting the referees from the stands during the match and the presence of unauthorized persons on the pitch after the final whistle, is enforceable.

THE REACTION

“We are surprised. No one heard or reported these insults, we were together for the third time with Tharros», commented the president of Taloro Gavoi Mathias Urru. «I'm fairly convinced that nothing happened , at the end of the game the assistant was sorry for the fans' reaction to his decisions and we immediately apologized, but he didn't mention any racist remarks. I'm sorry, as a society we have always been very attentive and sensitive on this issue and on wanting to promote inclusion".
