Antonio Lovicario, 42 years old, is a skilled diver who worked as a fisherman and is the only survivor of the tragedy that occurred off the coast of Santa Maria Navarrese in which Antonio Morlè, 53 years old, and Enrico Piras (63) lost their lives, their bodies still not being found.
When he realized the situation was becoming dire , he took off his clothes to make it easier to move in the sea . Clothes and shoes, once wet, would have absorbed water, significantly increasing their weight and acting as ballast, making everything more difficult. Enrico Piras attempted the same, but was unable to do so in his desperate attempt to cling to life while awaiting rescue . The crew of the "Zeus" (on board were the older brothers of the two victims, Maurizio Morlè and Giuseppe Piras) noticed his (now lifeless) body floating, but no one was able to grab him and bring him aboard.
