He called the Carabinieri regarding a collision he'd been involved in. The officers arrived shortly thereafter and discovered that the person who had called for help was not only drunk, but had never even had a driver's license. Was that it? No way: when the situation got ugly, the unauthorized driver himself attacked the Carabinieri. And he was eventually arrested.

The incident began yesterday when the protagonist, a fifty-one-year-old man, called 112 to request the intervention of a patrol on Via Primo Maggio, in Quartucciu, following a collision that had occurred shortly before. Upon arrival, officers from the Quartu Radiomobile unit conducted their initial investigations. The initial result: they discovered that the man had been driving without ever having obtained a license. The situation further escalated when the fifty-one-year-old was subjected to a breathalyzer test, which revealed a blood alcohol level four times the legal limit.

Tensions further escalated during the reporting process, when it became clear the car would be seized. The fifty-one-year-old began threatening the Carabinieri, attempting to punch them to disrupt their operations. He was then stopped. And arrested.
