Danger in via San Biagio, a small street in Quartucciu that winds through the historic center, due to falling rubble due to water infiltrations that have been going on for some time now.

The heavy rain last night has, in fact, peeled off the wall of an old uninhabited house, already reported several times as unsafe by the people of Quartucci.

The road has for now been closed to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

The firefighters immediately arrived on site to carry out an inspection. Immediately afterwards also Paola Serra from the local police. Also call the Municipality workers who are closing the road.

For the moment, according to the stories of some witnesses, it seems to have been difficult to track down the owners of the house. The last report of that unsafe wall dates back to last December, it was Cenzo Vargiu, from Quartucci and former local administrator who unsuccessfully drew the attention of the offices in via Nazionale.

«It's been like this for years, until someone gets really hurt they won't intervene. The structural problems in the wall are tangible, Vargiu had said, highlighting that the Municipality had not even bothered to prepare the barriers to limit traffic and make the area safe.
