Abbanoa's work on the sewer system on Via Della Musica in Quartu has been completed. However, the construction site is still open because inspections are underway. Therefore, the road remains closed to traffic for cars heading towards Poetto, between Via Boito and Via Parini. This means that those arriving from Via Turati will have to detour through the intermediate streets to return to Via Della Musica.

"The checks are very extensive," Abbanoa explains, "because the activation of the Via Della Musica collectors will determine the activation of the coastal sewer network connections, as well as those to Settimo, Sinnai, and Maracalagonis. In essence, the sewer system for an area spanning four municipalities will be revolutionized."

Thanks to the new sewer on Via Della Musica and the new pumping stations at the entrance to Molentargius Park, "we will disconnect the coastal sewer from the Pitz'e Serra sewer and connect it to a pipeline, built some time ago by the Municipality, which passes behind Via San Benedetto, Via Salieri, and Via Is Arenas before joining the newly completed works on Via Della Musica. " Furthermore, "all of this also has significant environmental value because, in addition to decommissioning the old sewage treatment plants in the coastal developments, connecting the other three Municipalities will prevent the wastewater treated by their plants from flowing into the Foxi River."
