Quartu, Via Palestrina feels like a roller coaster: tree roots lift the asphalt.

The problem on Via Cimabue and Via Eleonora d'Arborea has been resolved, but the trees continue to cause damage along the streets of Quartu .
This time the problem concerns Via Palestrina, where the roots of the school's trees have lifted the asphalt so much that it's difficult to drive. The problem has worsened recently, and there's also the risk that passersby, including children and their parents, could fall and hurt themselves. Once again, it all stems from the uncontrolled planting that has affected the city's avenues and parks over the years, but especially the schools. Years ago, during the Tree Festivals, trees were planted without proper inspection, and their roots then grew under the asphalt and sidewalks.
In recent months, the problem was resolved on Via Eleonora d'Arborea and Via Cimabue, where the pine trees whose roots had caused the damage were first cut down, and then the road was resurfaced.
In other areas where trees were cut down, such as Via S'Arrulloni, Via Beethoven, Via Marconi, and so on, they have been replaced with other plants that will not damage the pavement.
