Its fate was uncertain, but now it's confirmed. The Pala Valery, the training facility named after Corporal Valery Melis, located within the Is Arenas sports complex in Quartu Sant'Elena, will be restored and returned to the athletes, who are currently forced to migrate elsewhere for competitions and training.

First, however, work must be completed at the Is Arenas stadium: the locker rooms and the caretaker's lodge are nearing completion, followed by the stands, turf, and athletics track, which will need to be completely redone, having been unusable since Cagliari's brief stint at the Quartu stadium. Since then, the Tespiense club has been forced to relocate to Cagliari.

Quartu is slowly trying to regain ownership of its sports facilities: a few weeks ago, the gym on Via Monsignor Angioni was reopened, and the ball fields on Via San Francesco and Via Delle Baronie have already been renovated and handed over to the city's sports clubs. Work is underway to redevelop and restore the skating rink in Sa Forada. Previously, the gyms on Via Inghilterra, Via Perdalonga, Via Firenze, Via Bach, Via Is Pardinas, Via Turati, and the outdoor court on Via Nasturzi were reopened.
