Cagliari Coast Guard operation against illegal fishing. Yesterday morning the crew of a Coast Guard patrol boat identified and seized approximately 150 traps without the mandatory markings in the waters of the Quartu coast.

The investigations began after a semi-submerged, non-regulation signal tied to the seabed was noticed.

The military began to raise the cable and found that they were traps which, not being traceable to anyone, were seized.

The contents (octopuses, cuttlefish, crabs and fish) were thrown back into the sea.
