There was a scare last night on Via Vico in Quartu . The son of the owner of the Mattana pizzeria , just as he was about to lower the shutters, was threatened at gunpoint by a man who demanded he hand over the proceeds immediately . Inside the register were only €100 , and the thief, waited outside by an accomplice acting as lookout, fortunately escaped without causing further damage.

"We were leaving," says owner Sandro Mattana, "we had the shutter half down. Suddenly , this guy came in and pointed a gun at my 26-year-old son. They ordered us to come in and hand over the money. I had already taken everything away, so there was only a little change. After taking that, they left."

Now the anger remains, "a lot. No fear. In those moments you even think about reacting, but then you reflect that the important thing is to get home to your family."

Law enforcement will now try to find those responsible, also with the help of surveillance cameras.
