Illegal campers in Molentargius Park in Quartu. Something unexpected happens in the wetland, among the flamingos and other species that inhabit the area.

Someone had the smart idea of parking their camper, hanging out their laundry on the fence, and setting up tables and chairs. All this in the green area with its entrance on Via Don Giordi. But the impromptu "vacation" inside the wetland was short-lived: the illegal campers were removed by the Park Presidium, namely the nature reserve staff who, together with the Forestry Corps, carry out inspections within the Molentargius area. The report had come from some visitors to the green area who had noticed the illegal campers' presence.

This isn't the first time that incidents of this kind have occurred, not only within the park but also in other areas of the city, especially along the coast, where campers set up in unauthorized areas. Furthermore, caravans often occupy parking spaces in the city center and remain parked for extended periods. Makeshift campsites have also been reported several times on the beach, in this case not with campers but with tents, especially in the Margine Rosso area and other coastal beaches. Tents are set up without authorization and then left for days. Other complaints have arisen over the presence of gazebos and various tents erected on various beaches, occupying public space, forcing beachgoers to set up elsewhere.
