Quartu: Dead animals dumped in used clothing bins
The collection service has been improved, but it's not enough: some people throw everything in the bins.Per restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
It's been clear for some time that they were being used as dumpsters, but what bag collectors are finding inside the used clothing bins in Quartu is beyond what one might expect.
Some people are even throwing away dead animals , stuffed into plastic bags, along with smelly, damp waste that mixes with pants, T-shirts, and sweaters. Even increasing the collection times to three times a week hasn't helped. Just one day and the situation is back to the same, with bins overflowing and large bags and bulky items left at their feet.
Precisely to avoid all this, in recent weeks the used clothing collection bins at the intersection of Via Marconi and Piazza Azuni, next to the passport photo machine, have been eliminated and transformed into manure heaps.
However, the problem persists in other areas of the city, such as Via San Benedetto, Piazza IV Novembre, and the small park between Via Marconi and Via Merello. Here, the bins had been moved from Via San Francesco on a trial basis, and despite protests from local residents, they have not yet been moved.
